Our Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals is the class that we focus on learning the basic movements and skills that are essential to progressing in jiu-jitsu and establishing a balanced game.
It is essential to all students who are new to the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and for seniors students who want keep focus on learning the basic movements and skills that are essential. A typical 60 minute class consists of a light warm-up, observing and drilling techniques involving various submissions, sweeps, escapes, takedowns, etc., then occasionally ending with specific training (a drill that simulates live sparring).
This class focuses on the learning and application of the basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Students will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including a variety of submissions and escapes. This class will focus on proper techniques from the standing position covering basic throws and Jiu-Jitsu take-downs, including ground work.
This class is effective for the beginner as well as the advanced student looking to perfect his/her basic Jiu-Jitsu techniques.
