Kids Class

Aimed at Kids ages 5-17 yrs old, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program integrates physical education and self-defence technique with conditioning and skill-building games aimed at improving coordination, motor skills, agility and flexibility. Our program helps young students develop important character traits and values, including:

So, academically, socially, and within the home, our students are empowered to perform at higher levels. And, what makes it work, what holds all three parts together, is just that it’s so much fun. Samurai BJJ

5-9 Years Old

 

The Samurai program is for kids 5-9 years old. We teach the Samurais basic self-defence techniques while instilling the foundational principles of leverage and control. The secret to the success of this program is that we make the lessons so fun that the kids beg for more!

 

The program is designed to introduce our youngest students to Jiu Jitsu and help build coordination. The Curriculum includes Fun, Fast-paced games and interactive drills to teach Jiu Jitsu movements and beginner techniques to ensure a strong foundation and greater understanding of Jiu Jits.

 

Instructors also promote and reinforce strong core values to students in easy-to-follow and simple methods.

Cadets BJJ

9-12 Years Old

 

Our Cadets program is designed to help students build a strong foundation and improve their overall understanding of Jiu Jitsu. The curriculum for this program includes both beginner and fundamentals techniques, coordination drills, interactive games as well as explore core concepts and ideas.

Young Adults

12-17 Years Old

 

The Young adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is for both boys and girls ages 12-17 years old. The program is designed to improve overall fitness while providing the benefits of learning a martial art. The curriculum will cover Adults Program and effective self defence techniques tailored specifically for Teenagers. Emphasis is also put on developing confidence, respect and a good work ethic. All classes are supervised by an adult in a friendly and safe environment.

 

A typical class usually consists of a warm up, which includes physical exercise, and BJJ oriented movement drills. After a quick break, the instructor demonstrates the technique(s) of the day. Students then practice the technique(s) on the instructors and then with a partner. The next portion of the class is dedicated to active practice.

 

Then the last few minutes of the class is when the student gets to wrestle their friends (Rolling).

 

The Young adults Program at Gracie Swindon is perfect for teens that want to start training in BJJ, learn self defence and try out a new sport.
